Flying Field

The MARCS Flying Field is located at 5075 County Hwy TT, Cottage Grove, WI (43.126597, -89.170778).

Approved as an FAA-Recognized Identification Area.  FRIA Identifier 2023-CBO-00267-FRIA

Field Amenities

• 375' x 34' fabric runway

• 5 marked pilot stations

• Raised pilot platform

• Fabric taxiways and pit area

• Pit area workbenches

• Solar charging station w/ AC and 12V DC outputs

• Adjustable pilot sun shields

• Wind indicators

• Spectator area w/ picnic tables & porta-potty

Field usage guidelines

• MARCS members are able to enjoy our Flying Field year round

• Dawn to dusk for electric and Free Flight 

• 10am to 7pm for fueled airplanes documented under 85 decibels

• All pilots must have active AMA membership (sole exception: new pilots for 2 buddy-box sessions)

• Guest pilots (max 2 days/year) OK if accompanied by MARCS member pilot

• Night flying is by planned event 

• No Pets 

• No Unattended Vehicles 

• Solar Charging Station - Please charge under 6 amps per battery station
